Examines the role of social movements both in the United States and around the world. Focuses on labor, environmental, social justice and other initiatives in the push for political and economic democracy. North-South, public-private, labor-management and regional perspectives are emphasized. Prerequisite: POL 10004 or POL 10100 or POL 10500.
